Mohau Cares was founded based on the philosophical and ethical principles of Mohau Ngoepe. Mr Ngoepe holds a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, a certification as Ethics Officer, and a Higher Certificate in Primary Health Care and EMS.
Mohau believes that poverty has been systematically created by those who benefit from it and can be addressed through the creation of a socioeconomic environment that allows people to lift themselves out of poverty. This can be achieved by improving access to quality education, healthcare, nutrition, family social support, and regulating media content, all of which would need to be provided as aid. However, he also recognises that some individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities may require ongoing support.
Although he acknowledges that his own experiences of economic hardship spurred his desire to help others, he also feels a deep sense of calling to this noble work.
